Frozen Bedroom Makeover

“Frozen” is Disney’s 53rd full length animation film. It is very loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen”, with some adaptation to make it suitable for Disney.

It’s a tale of sisterly love, which is making it a massive hit with young girls everywhere. Disney has, somewhat predictably, another winner on its hands.

Needless to say, demand for Frozen merchandise is high – and not just for toys and costumes; Frozen bedroom decorations and bed sets are proving to be very popular right now.

Fortunately, there’s no shortage of Frozen merchandise for you to choose from. Your little princess can have the bedroom of her dreams before you know it.

Have a look at some of the Frozen bedroom decor available below. Many of these items can be installed very quickly without embarking on a major redecoration project – so both kids and parents should be happy!

These decals are really easy to apply. They stick onto any flat surface easily – and when you want to take them down, they peel off without any residue. You can usually take them off and reapply them many times – handy if you change your mind about where you want them.

You can use these to quickly turn plain walls and doors into a Frozen themed area – and add a bit of color and ambiance to any young girl’s room. And, when the next Disney blockbuster is released, you can just peel these off and put up the latest ones!

This short video shows how easy it is to apply these. The ones used here are fairly small, but the principle is the same.

The bed and the window will be the two main focal points in any young girl’s bedroom. Adding some Frozen themed bedding will transform the look of the room and really help your little princess to get her Frozen vibe on.

When it comes to the curtains, you can go with Frozen themed ones or just choose a plain pastel color that is sympathetic to the bedding set.

Of course, you can buy matched bedding and curtain sets, and that’s definitely a quick solution – which is sure to be well received. However, going for pastel curtains might give you a little more flexibility in future.

With the bedding, curtains and walls taken care of, a few well placed Frozen themed accessories around the room will add the finishing touches. There are plenty of options to choose from.

Alarm clocks and bedside lamps are always popular choices of course. Some of the alarm clocks will even project Frozen snowflakes onto the wall for a nice illuminated display.

Chairs and sofas are another good option which really help to create a nice theme in any Frozen themed bedroom. Some of the sofas fold out to become beds, which is handy for any sleepovers your princess may hold.

Another great option is themed Frozen storage. Toy chests, drawers and vanity sets will all add to the look and feel of the room – and they will be a very handy way to keep toys and pajamas tidied away.

Rugs, be they large or small are another great way to finish off the feel of the room.

Hopefully this has given you a few ideas for a Frozen themed bedroom makeover. It needn’t take long – and it doesn’t have to break the bank. Checkout our tips for quick and easy bedroom makeovers for a few ideas on how to save time and money.

It’s crazy how trends change so fast and kids can change their mind on a whim.

I like the idea of the removable decals. There is nothing worse than repainting a room more often than necessary. Contorting around furniture to paint instead of having an empty room makes it more complicated. There is definitely an appeal to the removable stickers. That is a very awesome idea to use for bedroom decoration.

      Hi Eris,

Thanks for stopping by. The removable decals are a dream come true. Even the very large ones are easy to put up – although an extra pair of hands is very useful at times!

Hi, just prepare the room for my little girl who is 6 years old. The walls are white and all looks very empty. I was thinking to put wallpaper, but it turns out quite expensive. It seems to me that the best choice would be those wall decals. They are really easy to apply, stick onto any flat surface easily and they are really not expensive. Thanks for the recommendation when I arrange the room I will send some pictures.

      Hi Deva,

If you have plain white walls, some decals and stickers would be a great way to break things up a little – and also to create just the right atmosphere for your daughter. They really are very easy to use – and, as you quite rightly say, much cheaper than wallpaper.

Good luck with your makeover. I’d love to see a few photos when you’re finished!

It is absolutely amazing how big this movie has become. Frozen stuff is everywhere! I really like the idea of storage, and I didn’t know they made the toy boxes and organizers as well. You can go as far as you want with Frozen decor.

One question about the decals. I know you said they don’t leave any residue. Do you know how they would stick to a textured wall?

Thanks for sharing your ideas. I know a little girl who would love to have her room decked out like this.

      Hi Steve/Kris,

The decals don’t leave any residue, but they work best on smooth, clean and dry, surfaces. How well they work on a textured surface would just depend on exactly how rough it was I guess – but the smoother the better basically.

What a great inexpensive way to decorate a child’s room. You can never go wrong with a Disney theme either with so many to choose from. I love the ease of moving them around or simply adding different characters. Are there super hero themes available like Ironman/Avengers or StarWars? Children grow so fast and as they discover other movies it’s nice to be able to switch things up and redecorate without having to remove wall paper and/or change the color of the paint. What nice idea!

      Hi Rich,

Thanks for stopping by. There certainly are superhero themes available – as well as sports teams, cars and just about anything else you can think of. Knock yourself out!

This is one of the biggest ideas that Disney has produced in years, loved the review found it very interesting and informative.
I have plaine coloured walls in my children’s rooms and loved the idea of the removable Decals, as you know children can change there minds to fads and fashions,
So i like the idea that you can change with their ideas and for a fraction of the cost. I will be bookmarking this site for a future reference, enjoyed the ideas and reading

      Hi Gareth,

Kids certainly hop from one thing to the next at breakneck speed don’t they? The wall decals are a great way to cope with that! Thanks for stopping by.

  • Cathy says:

Wow, my niece is going to love this. She’s so into Frozen that she wants to change her name too. Her birthday is coming up and I wanted to get her something along the theme.

The bedding is a good idea. Do you have any idea what material and thread count they are made of? Thanks.

    • admin says:

      Hi Cathy,

Hope you find something suitable for your niece – I’m sure you will!

Material and thread count vary according to different manufacturer, but there’s sure to be something that will meet your/her needs.
